Looking for Twitch ‘About Me’ templates?
Well, of course you are!
I mean, if you’re anything like me, you may not want to write out an entire Twitch About Me section for your channel.
It’ll just take too… long.
So, I did it for you!
I took 7 Twitch game bios that are popular with Twitch users, and broke them down into their component parts to help you create your own Twitch bio (y’know, the type of bio that looks as if someone put effort into writing it).
Right, let’s jump in…
1. Twitch About Me: The ‘Generic’ Twitch Bio
Let’s start with the Twitch bio template that everyone should consider using.
Why? Well, because it hits all the major points of a Twitch bio:
- Your name and location (we want to know who you are and where you’re from)
- What games you play (tell us what we can expect to see on your channel)
- Your channel goals (we want to know why we should come and watch you over all the other streamers out there)
Here are two examples:
- Hi, I’m Lirik. I’m a full-time livestreamer from Los Angeles who plays a variety of different games. My stream focuses on entertainment and helping my viewers have a better day, through humor, gameplay, interaction with my community, and more. I work hard to create new and exciting content every single day so come by sometime!
- I’m NickyDTV where I do all kinds of things from VR to martial arts. I’ve been a part of this live streaming community since 2014 and have loved every minute of it. Come check out my stream if you love doing any of the following things: [game] [game] [game] etc. I will always be working on content so please stay tuned for more!

2. Twitch About Me: The ‘Informative’ Twitch Bio
The next type of Twitch bio template is the kind that gives us a little more detail about what it’s like to watch you on Twitch.
- How long have you been streaming?
- What kind of stream should we expect to see from you?
Here are two examples:
- I’ve been streaming for almost two years. I’m a variety streamer with a focus on MMO’s and shooters (although I play way too many games). Come check out my channel if you like watching entertaining gameplay.
- My channel is “The_PurplePanzy”. I’ve been streaming games for over 2 years now and specialize in Overwatch, RPGs and Indie titles with a lot of focus on the community and interacting with them (I do a lot of giveaways). If you like watching someone who plays hard but also has a good time then come check me out.
3. Twitch About Me: The ‘Shock Value’ Twitch Bio
This is one of those templates where you can really stand out from the crowd. All you need to do is write a bio with some shock value (I mean, gamers like shocking things, right?).
Just a word of warning, though:
Be careful not to go overboard with the shock value, or your bio might end up coming across a little ‘sketchy’.
The trick is knowing how much shock value to add.
Here are two examples:
- Warning: This stream contains the following graphic elements: Blood, violence, gore, offensive language. Viewer discretion is advised.
- I’m an 18 year old girl who loves to talk about things like politics and swear at my cat (he never listens!). Come watch me if you want to see what I mean…

4. Twitch About Me: The ‘Let’s Get Personal’ Twitch Bio
This kind of Twitch bio template has a lot of potential, especially if you are all about getting personal with your community.
I mean, it’ll certainly set you apart from the rest of the pack!
Here are two examples:
- I’m DevinD and I’m a full time college student. My goal is to give back and help the world, one person at a time.
- Hello, my name is Andi! I’m an artist trying to make it in the big city (well, not really ‘big’, but you know what i mean). Come join me on my journey as I try to make it in this crazy world.
5. Twitch About Me: The ‘Let’s Get Funky’ Twitch Bio
This kind of template is one for all the funk lovers out there.
Just remember to keep it clean!
Here are two examples:
- I’m pretty awesome at games (my opinion) and I like to talk about it. Join me if you like awesome people.
- I’m a gamer, psychologist and college professor (not the kind of college that gives degrees)! I love games and helping people succeed in life through gaming. Come learn with me!

6. Twitch About Me: The ‘Gaming History’ Twitch Bio
This is another one of those templates where you need to talk about your gaming history.
Just remember that, as a new Twitch streamer, people will be curious as to how you got into gaming to begin with…
Here are two examples:
- I’ve been playing games since I was a little kid. It started off with Nintendo and the family computer, and from there I never stopped playing. Come watch me play games if you want to see a person who has been loving this ever since it started.
- I’ve loved games ever since I was a little kid. It all started when I’d watch my dad play Final Fantasy on the SNES and, from there, I just couldn’t stop – as you can probably imagine! I now stream every week and I love interacting with the community.
7. Twitch About Me: The ‘Intro Video’ Twitch Bio
This is a pretty simple one, but it could be useful for those of you who really want to stand out from the crowd.
Just remember that it might be a little harder to ‘brand yourself’ with this type of bio…
Here are two examples:
- My name is XxXPreddyXxX and I’m an 18 year old kid from America! I’ve been streaming for about 3 years now and my channel is mostly focused on PvP games like Fortnite, Minecraft, H1Z1 and PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS!
- My name is Discord_Creeper and I’m a 23 year old guy from Canada. I like to play open world games like GTA V, The Witcher 3, Fallout 4 and Minecraft (just to name a few). If you want to join me on my journey, make sure to follow me on Twitch!
In conclusion:
I hope you find these Twitch about me templates useful.
Just remember that they aren’t set in stone.
So feel free to tweak them, make them your own and find what works for you.
And as always, have fun gaming!
