Wondering what games to play on live stream?

Well, you’ve come to the right place, my fellow Gaming Zombie.

Why?

Because in this post I share 15 games to play on live stream (that, by the way, are PERFECT for YouTube).

You ready?

Awesome, let’s jump in…

1. Minecraft

Plain and simple, Minecraft is one of the most popular games ever made, which is why you should at least try playing it on one of your next YouTube live streams.

Yes, there is quite a bit of competition within the game itself.

But if you can put your own unique twist on the game – maybe your weird personality or your love for food while streaming – you might just stand out from the crowd and take off as a Minecraft streamer.

Something to keep in mind.

2. Slither.io

Slither.io is the online multiplayer version of the popular game Snake.

While playing, you start out as a small snake-like creature. As you continue to eat orbs that are placed all over the map, you grow and your tail grows longer.

The goal?

To get as large as possible without crashing into yourself or running into another player.

3. Brawlhalla

Brawlhalla is a free-to-play 2D platform fighting game that is very similar to Super Smash Bros.

Since the game is free, there are, of course, a ton of other players who stream it on their channels.

But that means there’s also a helluva lot of eyeballs searching for this game.

So, if you’re looking for new games to play on live stream (and also enjoy 2D platform fighting games), then you should definitely give Brawlhalla a shot.

Games to Play on Live Stream with Viewers

Wondering what games to play on your live stream with viewers?

Well, look no further.

Here are a bunch of ’em:

4. Clash Royale

Clash Royale is a card collect/strategy game that sees you battle other players online.

It’s really popular among the games-to-play-on-live-stream crowd because it can be played on both YouTube and Twitch.

Not to mention, you can play this game with your viewers, so everyone can get involved.

5. Team Fortress 2

Team Fortress 2 is the sequel to the 1996 mod for Quake.

It’s a multiplayer first-person shooter that has been praised by critics and players alike.

In other words, it’s one of the games to play on live stream if you want a bit of an adrenaline rush while live streaming.

6. RuneScape

RuneScape is a popular online role-playing game.

It originally became popular among players who enjoyed games like Ultima Online, Everquest, and Dark Age of Camelot.

But now, RuneScape has become even more popular because, well, it’s free to play.

So if you’re looking for games to play on live stream with your viewers, then RuneScape – an MMORPG – might be for you.

7. Clash of Clans

Clash of Clans is a real-time strategy mobile game that tasks players with building their own village and then protecting it from evil forces trying to overtake it.

Since the game is on mobile devices, you can easily play with your viewers while streaming.

And that means more eyeballs on your stream!

Fun Games to Play on Live Stream

Okay, now we’re getting into the “nitty gritty”.

Here are a list of fun games to play on your next live stream (#11 is my personal favorite):

8. Terraria

Terraria is an action-adventure/RPG game that has you exploring, mining, and building.

The fun in the game comes from creating structures, collecting loot (and weapons), and then destroying all your work with a meteor or other disaster.

9. Space Engineers

Space Engineers is essentially a sandbox dream come true.

It’s a sandbox-style game where you can build and explore space… in, well, space.

I mean, let’s face it:

Who wouldn’t want to play this fun game on their next live stream?

10. Kart Rider

Kart Rider is a fun online racing game that has you driving around tracks, collecting power-ups and performing tricks to gain an edge over the other racers.

And it is, of course, super fun for streamers who like arcade games.

11. Don’t Starve Together

Don’t Starve Together is a fun survival game where four players have to survive – working together – in a dangerous world.

In other words, this is another good game to play on a live stream because you can interact with your viewers in a meaningful way.

12. Subnautica

Subnautica is an open-world action/adventure underwater exploration game that has players exploring the depths of a planet’s surface.

Players will need to scour the ocean floor for resources, food, secrets, materials to craft tools & equipment, etc.

There are also various sea monsters that lurk below the surface of the water too – including your bigger than average great white shark!

“Which game is best for live streaming?”

One of the most common questions we get here at Gaming Zombies is:

‘Which game is best for live streaming?’

Our answer?

There is no one-size-fits-all game.

You’ve just got to throw a bunch of games at the wall – test them out – and then see which game works best for you.

Here are some games you should try out:

13. Age of Empires Online

Age of Empires Online is a real-time strategy game where players battle for supremacy as civilizations try to survive and expand throughout the world.

What’s great about Age of Empires Online is that it’s free-to-play, so if you’re looking for a great game that won’t break the bank then this just might be your new best friend.

14. Astroneer

Astroneer is a sandbox space exploration game where players explore different planets and extract materials to use for further exploration.

And since it’s a sandbox game, it’s also a good “watch me build” style of game that streamers can play during their live streams.

15. Robocraft

Robocraft is a free-to-play MMO (massively multiplayer online) game where players drive robots and use them to battle other players.

It is, in my opinion, one of the best games to play while streaming.

Why?

Because it’s fun as hell!

In conclusion:

If you’re just starting out on your YouTube journey, then definitely go ahead and test out some of these games are your next set of live streams.

When you do this, keep an eye on your viewers, your interaction rate, the amount of fun you’re having while playing the game, and let those factors decide whether or not you continue playing long-term.

The most important thing to remember, though, is that the game you decide to stream gives you the platform you need to interact with your viewers in a meaningful way.

In other words, it’s not all about the gameplay; it’s also about the experience you give your viewers.

Comprende?

Cool.

Oh, and as always, have fun gaming!
